We all felt the pain of Oct. 7 and the surge of antisemitism and Jewish hatred that followed. As the one-year anniversary quickly approaches, we are left with the uncertainty of what comes next.
Imagine Sheva—an evening in the City of Brotherly Love where American Jews come together to fight hate with love, pain with resilience, and darkness with light. We will show the world that our community stands united to celebrate and support Jewish life and tradition, both at home and abroad. The evening will feature a musical performance by Matisyahu, a fireside chat with Michael Rapaport, and speeches by Montana Tucker and Shabbos Kestenbaum.
Sheva is more than just a community dinner; it’s a celebration of the enduring spirit of those who have faced the darkest chapters in modern Jewish history. The Torah describes the Jewish people as a light in the darkness, and on Oct. 7, we will come together to embody that light—bringing love and strength when it is needed most. Anti-Semitism and hatred toward Jews will not defeat us—not today, not ever.
