One Year Later: Commemorate the Oct. 7 Massacre

Please note that the office of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia will be closed beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 through Friday, Oct. 25 in observance of Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.

Why Oct. 27?

Israel had declared that the Hamas attack and massacre will be remembered annually on the 24th day of the Hebrew month, Tishrei. In alignment with Israel’s initial remembrance date – which has since been changed – and in observance of Shabbat, we will commemorate this year on Oct. 27.
